11:1 Hierauf nahmen die Obersten des Volkes ihren Wohnsitz in Jerusalem; das übrige Volk aber bestimmte durch das Los je den zehnten Mann dazu, sich in der heiligen Stadt Jerusalem anzusiedeln, während die übrigen neun Zehntel in den Ortschaften (des Landes) wohnen bleiben sollten.

11:1 And the princes of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: but the rest of the people cast lots, to take one part in ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts in the other cities.

11:2 Das Volk aber hieß alle Leute willkommen, die sich freiwillig zur Niederlassung in Jerusalem erboten.

11:2 And the people blessed all the men that willingly offered themselves to dwell in Jerusalem.

11:3 Und dies sind die Häupter des Bezirks, die sich in Jerusalem und in den Ortschaften Judas niedergelassen haben, und zwar ein jeder auf seinem Besitztum in den dortigen Ortschaften: die (gewöhnlichen) Israeliten, die Priester und die Leviten, die Tempelhörigen und die Nachkommen der Leibeigenen Salomos.

11:3 These therefore are the chief men of the province, who dwelt in Jerusalem, and in the cities of Juda. And every one dwelt in his possession, in their cities: Israel, the priests, the Levites, the Nathinites, and the children of the servants of Solomon.

11:4 In Jerusalem haben sich sowohl Judäer als auch Benjaminiten niedergelassen, und zwar von den Judäern: Athaja, der Sohn Ussijas, des Sohnes Sacharjas, des Sohnes Amarjas, des Sohnes Sephatjas, des Sohnes Mahalaleels, von den Nachkommen des Perez;

11:4 And in Jerusalem there dwelt some of the children of Juda, and some of the children of Benjamin: of the children of Juda, Athaias the son of Aziam, the son of Zacharias, the son of Amarias, the son of Saphatias, the son of Malaleel: of the sons of Phares,

11:5 ferner Maaseja, der Sohn Baruchs, des Sohnes Kol-Hoses, des Sohnes Hasajas, des Sohnes Adajas, des Sohnes Jojaribs, des Sohnes Sacharjas, des Sohnes des Siloniten.

11:6 Die Gesamtzahl der Nachkommen des Perez, die in Jerusalem wohnten, betrug 468, tüchtige Männer. –

11:6 All these the sons of Phares, who dwelt in Jerusalem, were four hundred sixty-eight valiant men.

11:7 Und dies sind die Benjaminiten: Sallu, der Sohn Mesullams, des Sohnes Joeds, des Sohnes Pedajas, des Sohnes Kolajas, des Sohnes Maasejas, des Sohnes Ithiels, des Sohnes Jesajas,

11:7 And these are the children of Benjamin: Sellum the son of Mosollam, the son of Joed, the son of Phadaia, the son of Colaia, the son of Masia, the son of Etheel, the son of Isaia.

11:8 und seine Genossen, wehrhafte Krieger, 928 an der Zahl. –

11:9 Joel aber, der Sohn Sichris, war ihr Vorsteher; und Juda, der Sohn Hassenuas, war zweiter Aufseher über die Stadt. –

11:10 Von den Priestern: Jedaja, der Sohn Jojaribs, Jachin,

11:13 And his brethren the chiefs of the fathers: two hundred forty- two. And Amassai the son of Azreel, the son of Ahazi, the son of Mosollamoth, the son of Emmer,

11:14 und ihre Genossen, tüchtige Männer, 128 an der Zahl; ihr Vorsteher war Sabdiel, der Sohn Haggedolims. –

11:14 And their brethren who were very mighty, a hundred twenty-eight: and their ruler Zabdiel son of the mighty.

11:15 Ferner von den Leviten: Semaja, der Sohn Hassubs, des Sohnes Asrikams, des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Bunnis;

11:15 And of the Levites Semeia the son of Hasub, the son of Azaricam, the son of Hasabia, the son of Boni,

11:16 ferner Sabbethai und Josabad, welche die weltlichen Geschäfte des Gotteshauses zu besorgen hatten;

11:16 And Sabathai and Jozabed, who were over all the outward business of the house of God, of the princes of the Levites,

11:17 und Matthanja, der Sohn Michas, des Sohnes Sabdis, des Sohnes Asaphs, der Leiter des Lobgesangs, der die Danksagung beim Gebet anstimmte; und Bakbukja, der zweite im Rang unter seinen Genossen, und Abda, der Sohn Sammuas, des Sohnes Galals, des Sohnes Jeduthuns.

11:17 And Mathania the son of Micha, the son of Zebedei, the son of Asaph, was the principal man to praise, and to give glory in prayer, and Becbecia, the second, one of his brethren, and Abda the son of Samua, the son of Galal, the son of Idithun.

11:18 Die Gesamtzahl der Leviten in der heiligen Stadt betrug 284. –

11:18 All the Levites in the holy city were two hundred eighty-four.

11:19 Die Torhüter aber waren: Akkub, Talmon und ihre Genossen, die an den Toren Wache hielten, 172 an der Zahl.

11:19 And the porters, Accub, Telmon, and their brethren, who kept the doors: a hundred seventy-two.

11:20 Die übrigen Israeliten aber, Priester und Leviten, wohnten in allen Ortschaften Judas zerstreut, ein jeder in seinem Besitztum.

11:20 And the rest of Israel, the priests and the Levites were in all the cities of Juda, every man in his possession.

11:21 Die Tempelhörigen aber wohnten auf dem Ophel; Ziha und Gispa waren die Aufseher über die Tempelhörigen. –

11:21 And the Nathinites, that dwelt in Ophel, and Siaha, and Gaspha of the Nathinites.

11:22 Der Vorsteher der Leviten in Jerusalem war Ussi, der Sohn Banis, des Sohnes Hasabjas, des Sohnes Matthanjas, des Sohnes Michas, einer von den Nachkommen Asaphs, den Sängern für den Dienst im Hause Gottes;

11:22 And the overseer of the Levites in Jerusalem, was Azzi the son of Bani, the son of Hasabia, the son of Mathania, the son of Micha. Of the sons of Asaph, were the singing men in the ministry of the house of God.

11:23 es lag nämlich eine königliche Verfügung in bezug auf sie vor und eine Verordnung für die Sänger bezüglich ihrer täglichen Amtsleistungen.

11:23 For the king's commandment was concerning them, and an order among the singing men day by day.

11:24 Pethahja aber, der Sohn Mesesabeels, aus der Zahl der Nachkommen Serahs, des Sohnes Judas, war der königliche Beamte für alle Angelegenheiten, die das Volk betrafen,

11:24 And Phathahia the son of Mesezebel of the children of Zara the son of Juda was at the hand of the king, in all matters concerning the people,

11:25 und für die Dörfer auf ihren Feldmarken. Von den Judäern wohnte ein Teil in Kirjath-Arba nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften sowie in Dibon nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften und in Jekabzeel nebst den zugehörigen Gehöften;

11:25 And in the houses through all their countries. Of the children of Juda some dwelt at Cariath-Arbe, and in the villages thereof: and at Dibon, and in the villages thereof: and at Cabseel, and in the villages thereof.

11:26 ferner in Jesua, Molada, Beth-Pelet,

11:26 And at Jesue, and at Molada, and at Bethphaleth,

11:27 in Hazar-Sual und Beerseba nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften,

11:27 And at Hasersuel, and at Bersabee, and in the villages thereof,

11:28 in Ziklag und Mechona nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften,

11:28 And at Siceleg, and at Mochona, and in the villages thereof,

11:29 in En-Rimmon, Zora, Jarmuth,

11:29 And at Remmon, and at Saraa, and at Jerimuth,

11:30 Sanoah, Adullam nebst den zugehörigen Gehöften, Lachis und dessen Feldmarken und in Aseka nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften; sie hatten sich also von Beerseba bis zum Tal Hinnom angesiedelt.

11:30 Zanoa, Odollam, and in their villages, at Lachis and its dependencies, and at Azeca and the villages thereof. And they dwelt from Bersabee unto the valley of Ennom.

11:31 Die Benjaminiten aber wohnten von Geba an in Michmas, Ajja und Bethel nebst den zugehörigen Ortschaften,

11:31 And the children of Benjamin, from Geba, at Mechmas, and at Hai, and at Bethel, and in the villages thereof,

11:32 in Anathoth, Nob, Ananja,

11:33 Hazor, Rama, Hitthaim,

11:33 Asor, Rama, Gethaim,

11:34 Hadid, Zeboim, Neballat,

11:35 Lod und Ono (und) im Tal der Zimmerleute.

11:35 And Ono the valley of craftsmen.

11:36 Von den Leviten aber gehörten einige judäische Abteilungen zu Benjamin.

11:36 And of the Levites were portions of Juda and Benjamin.
