5. The Institution of the Eucharist
We contemplate Jesus at the Last Supper, taking bread and wine and saying, “This is My Body … this is My Blood.” He gives Himself as food for the life of the world, anticipating Calvary in sacrament.
This mystery teaches love of the Blessed Sacrament and adoration. The Eucharist is the school of self-giving. To receive worthily is to imitate Christ, who gives Himself entirely. Adoration transforms the soul into what it beholds: Christ Himself.
