3. Die Geburt des Herrn
We contemplate the birth of the Savior in Bethlehem. The Virgin lays her Child in a manger, for there is no room at the inn. Shepherds come in simple faith; angels sing peace to men of good will. In the silence of night, the Infinite enters time, wrapped in swaddling clothes.
This mystery teaches poverty of spirit. God chooses littleness and destitution as His throne. Detachment from worldly comfort and honor opens space for divine joy. The soul that learns to be content with little learns to be rich in God.
