Confíteor Deo omnipoténti,
I confess to almighty God,
beatæ Mariæ semper Vírgini,
to blessed Mary ever Virgin,
beato Michaëli Archángelo,
to blessed Michael the Archangel,
beato Ioanni Baptístæ,
to blessed John the Baptist,
sanctis Apóstolis Petro et Paulo,
to the holy Apostles Peter and Paul,
ómnibus Sanctis,
to all the Saints,
et vobis, fratres:
and to you father:
quia peccávi nimis
that I have sinned exceedingly
cogitatióne, verbo et ópere.
in thought, word, and deed:
Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea máxima culpa.
through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault.

Therefore I pray blessed Mary ever Virgin,
